One Mile Competitive Run and Fun Walk

Saturday, September 13, 2008  9:30 A.M.

Place: Metter Memorial Park in Columbia, IL

 

Race Day Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Fun Walk will start immediately following the run.

Awards given for: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for runners w/dog finishers.

1st, 2nd & 3rd place for walkers w/dog finishers.

 

Rules: All dogs must be leashed.  Dogs  may be carried, pulled in a cart, walked or run with owner during race. Race prizes are only awarded to participants running or walking with a dog. Race awards will be given at the conclusion of the walk.If you  are  participating in both the run and the walk then you must pay two entry fees. No refunds due to weather conditions. Entry  fees are tax deductible.

 

     Entry Fees:  $15($20 race day) for run participants with or without a dog

$15($20 race day) for walk participants with or without a dog                   

  $5 for each additional dog participating with same owner.)

All entrants will receive a kooler  bag

There is a  $3 entry  fee per special category per dog entered. Sign up on race day. Awards will be presented for the special categories: Best Singer/Howler, Best Drooler, Oldest Dog, Youngest Dog, Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Tail-Wagger, Best Kisser, Best Trick, Owner & Dog Look Alike Contest

 

Attendance Prize Drawings                    A Raffle drawing with Tickets at $1 each or  $5 for 6 tickets

Waiver of Liability: I, the undersigned, am waiving any liability and all claims for myself and my dog(s) against the City of Columbia and The Humane Society of Monroe County for any injury or illness that may directly  or indirectly result from my participation in this event.  I further verify that I, the owner  and the dog(s) are  in proper physical condition  to participate in this event. I , also confirm my  dog(s) vaccinations are up to date and that I am responsible for my dog(s) behavior and accept responsibility for their actions.
